Sewer Rodding

Tree roots are the most common cause of sewer backup. Roots find their way into your sewer pipe at the joint between sections, and in older clay sewer pipe there is a joint every two feet. Once the roots are in the pipe they will continue to grow until the pipe is blocked. We use a Rigid brand machine to rod sewers and cut the roots out of your pipe wall. In the event of a collapsed pipe or other problem that prohibits us from rodding the sewer we can also dig to make repairs.

Tree roots are normally not a problem in newer homes because the pipe sections are longer (meaning fewer joints) and the joint seals are much better.
